Human Resources
The Human Resources Bureau serves as the liaison between NMCD management, staff, State Personnel, and the Department of Finance and Administration. The Bureau coordinates and provides guidance and oversight to the HR staff statewide for all payroll, recruitment, and personnel actions in accordance with established state and federal guidelines, agency policies and procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the State and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). The Bureau uses the Statewide Human Resource, Accounting and Reporting (SHARE) system for payroll and benefit processing and In-Time Reporting systems to maintain management information on the NMCD workforce.
- The New Mexico Corrections Department often has positions for legal, financial, and administrative professionals. This includes attorneys, accountants, behavioral health therapists, information technology personnel, human resource analysts, purchasing agents, criminal investigators, STIU staff, classification officers, educators, and administrative and clerical personnel. Many of these classifications are required at offices or institutions throughout the state. All applicants offered employment must undergo a security background check.
