Region III

The Region III office is located in Las Cruces, NM. The Region consists of 73 employees to include: 3 STIU Investigators, 9 Supervisors, 32 Standard Supervision Officers, 3 Community Corrections Officers, 3 Sex Offender Officers, 1 High Risk Officer, 2 Intensive Supervision Officers, and 4 Sex Offender/Intensive Supervision Officers.

The region has twelve offices located in Las Cruces (3), Anthony, Silver City, Deming, Lordsburg, Socorro, T or C, Moriarty, Alamogordo and Ruidoso. The Region covers all of southern New Mexico, from as far East as Ruidoso, South to the Texas border and West to the Arizona border. The Region encompasses four judicial districts: the Third in Dona Ana County; the Sixth in Grant, Luna and Hidalgo Counties; the Seventh in Socorro, Catron, Torrance and Sierra Counties; and the Twelfth in Otero and Lincoln Counties.

Region III has a vast variety of programming available to include, Community Corrections, Sex Offender Treatment, Mental Health Treatment and Substance Abuse Treatment. There are also several halfway houses located in Southern New Mexico. The region has Drug Court programs in all Judicial Districts and Veteran’s Court programs in Dona Ana, Otero and Lincoln counties. Staff throughout the region work with offenders to ensure their various needs are being met while complying with their Court or Parole Board ordered conditions. Officers utilize assessment to determine programing and refer based on individual needs while keeping public safety in mind.
