Career Technical Education (CTE) and Integrated Education and Training (IET) provides students with the necessary academic knowledge and training to prepare them for technical, skilled, and service careers.

• Heating, Ventilation, and Air
• Conditioning – HVAC
• C-TECH
• Introduction to computer training
• Coding
• Building Trades

Cognitive Programs and courses assisting offenders in recognizing destructive behavior patterns and developing positive, pro-social thinking habits in all areas of their lives are available at varying state correctional facilities.

Courses are as follows:

• Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)
• Moral Reconation Therapy Domestic
• Violence (MRT-DV)
• Charting a New Course
• Cognitive Behavioral Intervention
• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning – HVAC
• Roots of Success

College courses are offered through accredited colleges leading to Associate Degrees and Vocational Certificates.

College courses vary by facility and are provided in partnership with:

• Ashland University
• Dona Ana Community College (DACC)
• Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell (ENMU-R)
• New Mexico State University-Grants (NMSU-G))
• Mesalands Community College (MCC)
• University of the Southwest (USW)

Students may also pursue college education under independent study through an accredited post-secondary institution.

Programs and courses that focus on building relationships, communication, conflict resolution and family literacy skills, among others. These programs are available at varying state and private correctional facilities.

• Moral Reconation Therapy – Parenting
• Women in Leadership – PB&J Parenting
• Moms from the Inside
• Wings for Life
• Mommy and Me – Self-Help Group

The reentry courses are provided to prepare inmates, who are within six (6) months of release, with processes to assist their reintegration back to their communities. Programs are available at varying state and private correctional facilities.
